We are located here, on the Valley Isle of Maui Hawaii. We specialize in building, and remodeling fine
custom homes as well as commercial projects.
The Building Process can be a challenging one. Logistics, organization, and proper planning play a big role
in completing any project. Our philosophy is that all construction projects require a team of skilled
professionals working together to achieve the common goal of excellence in craftsmanship.
This requires a project to be well coordinated from the start, and for the general contractor to have
excellent communication with the homeowner, architect, and all the sub-contractors that are involved.
We are focused on providing quality professional services, highly skilled craftsmanship, and excellent
customer service, from conception to completion.

About Us
Mike Bare, General Contractor, and owner of Pacific Island Builders inc.
I started my building career in 1985, as a way to help pay for college. After graduation, I worked as a Paramedic for numerous Ambulance companies, as well as Medi-Flight, and Life Flight Services. As the years past, I found that my medical career and my passion for building would soon clash. Little did I know, the leave of absence I would soon take from emergency medicine, would change my life forever.
In 1992 I was offered an opportunity to go to Kauai to assist in the rebuilding efforts, after Hurricane Iniki devastated the island. During my stay on Kauai, I had the benefit of working alongside some great contractors, and highly skilled tradesmen. Not only did I learn about proper building techniques, quality craftsmanship, and integrity. I learned about respect, respect for the building industry.
After returning from Kauai I realized that building quality Custom homes was what I was meant to do. So, I packed up my things and landed on Maui. It didn't take me long to realize that Maui is truly "No Ka Oi", The Very Best.
I spent years honing my skills and learning every aspect I could, in the custom homes industry. In 1999 Pacific Island Builders was founded. A company that is completely devoted to quality construction, and customer satisfaction,
